History is all that happened in the past and what man has written about the past. We know that some events in the past took place because we have evidence that they happened. We know that the ancient cities of Pompeii and Harculaneum were destroyed by an eruption of Vesuvius because archeologists have found these cities buried under the volcanic debris and volcanic mud that were thrown out by the eruption. Telex is a telegraph exchange service that enables subscribers to communicate directly with one another by means of teleprinters temporarily connected by lines and switching equipment. It expanded rapidly, mainly after World War II, and is now available in almost every country in the world.
